MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Queens University of Charlotte field hockey team fell 6-2 to Lindenwood University this afternoon bringing their overall record to 4-9 on the year. The Lions improve to 9-2 on the year with the win.

Queens outshot Lindenwood 23-17, putting 13 shots on goal to the Lions' 14. However, they would only find the back of the cage on a pair of shots from
Mazvita Mtisi and
Ashley Caldwell.

Mtisi's goal would come in the 23
rd on an assist from
Hanna Nechay making the score 2-1 at the time. Queens' second goal would come in the 64
th minute of action, following four consecutive scores from the Lions. Caldwell was able to record the first goal of her career after receiving a pass from Mtisi.

Queens goalkeeper
Kelsey Fringer totaled eight saves while Lindenwood totaled 11 saves between Skylar Starbeck and Mackenzie Litterst.

Queens will return home to Bessant Field on October 15 for a rematch with the Wolves of Newberry College. The Royals fell 2-0 in the first meeting between the two squads. The game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
