Greenville, Tenn.- The Queens University of Charlotte men's tennis team (10-3, 8-2 SAC) fell on Friday, April 15, 2016, in a 6-3 match against Tusculum College (19-2, 10-1 SAC). The match would be resumed after play was previously halted on March 5, due to rain.
Tusculum held a 3-1 lead coming into the day's events, seeing a sweep in the doubles play.
Per-Erik Soler would snap the run by the Pioneers to take the top flight in singles play. He would defeat Eduardo Munoz 6-2, 6-4 before the match was suspended.
With a 3-1 lead on the Tusculum side, Queens looked for answers as the Pioneers slowly took the second court in three sets.
Andor Vas found a point to keep the Pioneers from grabbing the match, going 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 on court three. However, Tusculum closed with a victory in the No. 4 spot to take the match.
Zachary Williams tallied the team's last point with a 2-0 victory as Tusculum retired play on court six.
The team will hold their last regular season match at home on Sunday, April 17, at 1:30 p.m. The Royals will face Newberry College.
