Mars Hill, N.C.- The Queens University of Charlotte men's tennis team found a 7-2 win over the Lions of Mars Hill on Saturday, March 26, 2016. The win would give Queens an overall record of 7-1 and 5-0 in the South Atlantic Conference. Mars Hill would fall to 4-10 and 1-6 in the SAC.   

"We played a pretty solid overall match today," said Head Coach Billy Boykin. "Our guys competed hard. I'm so proud of their efforts."

Queens grabbed two of the doubles courts with Per-Erik Soler and Andor Vas topping court one with an 8-3 score. Ole-Jacob Meum and Will Roberson secured court three against Blake Covington and Alejandre Ozake to see the match to 8-6 for the win.

Soler would find a singles match win, playing the No. 1 spot for a 6-2, 6-0 score against Alberto Ortiz. Jules Athalis rallied to take the second single's point in three sets, 3-6, 6-3, 1-0, while Vas went 6-1, 6-2 on court three. In mirroring scoring sets, Zachary Williams rounded out the No. 6 court with a 6-1, 6-1 score before Jordan Owens capped the game with an 8-4 single set win.

The Royals will head to Wingate on April 1^st, to face the Bulldogs at 2 p.m.
