Box Score CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Thirteenth Ranked Queens University of Charlotte Men's Basketball team (19-2, 13-2 SAC) took care of the visiting Coker Cobras (6-13, 2-13 SAC) by the score of 79-68 on Wednesday, February 3, 2016.

The Royals were sent to the free throw line a whopping 42 times, making 29 of them, as both teams combined for 55 fouls in the game. Queens shot 48.9 percent from the field and were able to take advantage of 13 second-chance points.

Queens was led by the scoring trio of
Rob Lewis,
Sean Morgan, and
Marquis Rankin. Rankin added 16 points while Lewis and Morgan added 18 points apiece for the Royals.
Daniel Camps continued his assault on collecting rebounds as he snagged 17 of them to go along with his nine points in the game.

The first half was a pretty evenly matched as Coker and Queens were tied up at 12-12 with 14:07 remaining in the first half following a
Kendall Jones three pointer. Jaquez Montley's three pointer with 7:08 remaining in the first half gave the Cobras their largest lead of the half as they took a 25-20 lead over the Royals. Queens responded to the deficit by going on an 11-0 that included a big dunk by Camps, to give the Royals a seven point, 32-25 lead with just over four minutes to play in the first half. The Royals would struggle to find the bottom of the hoop for the remainder of the half as they only scored three points in the last four minutes, but defensively were able to keep Coker at bay as they game was tied, 35-35 going into the half.

The back-and-forth battle between these two squads continued in the second half as Morgan's layup with 14:52 on the clock gave Queens a 41-40 lead over Coker. The lead would change hands a couple more times until the Royals uncorked back-to-back dunks by
Jared Hendryx to give the Royals a 56-52 lead with just over eight minutes to go in the game. Hendryx's dunks would spark Queens as they would not trail for the rest of the game and their lead would grow to as large as 11 points, which was the final margin as the Royals defeated the Cobras, 79-68.

Coker was led by Aubrey Daniel who scored 13 points and grabbed four rebounds in the game. Jake Barrett and Roman Hall were the only other two Cobras who scored in double digits as they scored 12 and 10 points.

Queens will be on the road for their next game as they make the trip to Brevard, N.C. to face off against the Tornados on Saturday, February 6th at 4:00 p.m.
