Box Score SALISBURY, N.C – The sixth ranked Queens University of Charlotte men's basketball team (23-2, 17-2 SAC), won their ninth game in a row as they handled the Catawba Indians (10-15, 8-11 SAC) on the road, 95-77 on Wednesday, February 17, 2016. Five minutes into the game, the Royals built a seven-point, 12-5 lead as Lewis turned a Rankin steal into two points for the Royals. Darryl White hit a jumper with 6:01 remaining in the first half to extend the Royals lead to 14 points, 30-16. Queens scored the last six points in the first half as Lewis' fast break layup with five seconds left gave the Royals a 45-28 lead going into the half.

The Royals continued to hold a double digit lead in the second half, but Catawba did their best to keep it interesting in the early moments as Jameel Taylor's fast break layup cut the lead down to only ten points, 52-42 with 15:04 to play in the second half. Moments later, Queens used a 7-0 scoring run that was capped by two free throws by Kendall Jones to increase the lead once again, this time to 18 points, 66-48 with 11:28 remaining in the second half. Catawba would cut the Royals lead down to 14 with just under ten minutes to play in the game, but Queens exploded out on a 25-7 run that extended over six minutes to give them a 93-61 lead with just over four minutes left to play. The high flying Daniel Camps, Lewis, & Withers all slammed home dunks to put an exclamation point on the run and the lead for the Royals. The Indians only allowed the Royals to score two points in the final four minutes, but the damage was already done as Queens took home the 95-77 victory, giving Coach Lundy the school record for wins with 169.

Jameel Taylor led the way for the Indians as he scored a team high 13 points on 5-of-10 shooting and added nine rebounds. Only one other Catawba player was able to score in double digits as Jeremy McLaughlin added 10 points and 10 rebounds in the game, giving him a double double.
