The second set was played more closely as the Royals found themselves trailing before a three point swing put them on top, 18-16. Three ties would follow before a five point push at the close gave Queens the 25-19 win.
Â
Queens found themselves trailing again in the final set, but they would overcome the deficit with an 8-0 run to move ahead 23-18. The Lions tried to slow the attack and extend the match to four sets, but the Royals stayed persistent closing with a pair of kills to secure the sweep of the Lions.
Â
Queens will be on the road for their next match at Coker on Tuesday, November 1 at 6 p.m. The Royals pulled out a five set win over the Cobras at home earlier in the season.
