Box Score CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The eight ranked and undefeated Queens University of Charlotte men's basketball team (12-0, 6-0 SAC) put on a dominant performance as they defeated Catawba (4-3, 6-7 SAC) 94-79 on Wednesday, January 6th, 2015.
 
Daniel Camps was the teams' leading playmaker on the night as he scored 18 points on 7-of-9 shooting, many of which came from highlight reel dunks. He also added a team high 15 rebounds to give him a double-double in the game. 
Rob Lewis was the team's leading scorer with 20 points as he hit four of his six three point attempts on the evening. Not to be outdone, 
Sean Morgan added 16 points in 18 minutes as he went 6-of-7 from the field.
 
The Royals shot the ball at an alarming rate, making 53.3 percent of their shots from the field and 50.0 percent of their three point baskets (10-of-20). Queens also caused 19 turnovers in the game, leading to 28 points for the home team.
 
Queens came out of the locker room on a mission as they busted out to an 18-2 lead four minutes into the game. The run was sparked by a monstrous Camps' dunk in the early minutes of the game. Later in the half, 
Marquis Rankin snagged a steal and handed it over to 
Todd Withers whose layup gave the Royals a 20-point, 30-10 lead with 11:24 remaining in the first half. Catawba's Jerrin Morrison then made a three pointer to cut the Royals lead down to 15 points, 34-19 with 7:34 left on the clock. Queens would continue to turn up the heat for the remainder of the half as their lead would get as large as 29 points with 1:45 left in the half. Morgan's made free throw with 14 seconds left gave the Royals a 54-27 lead at the half.
 
The Royals continued to hold a strong lead in the second half as they led 69-32 with 15:26 left on the clock following a Rankin layup. 
Jared Hendryx's dunk gave the Royals their first 40-point lead of the game as they held a 79-38 lead with eight minutes to play in the game. Catawba would get on a roll as they came up with an 11-0 run to cut Queens' lead to 79-49 after two made free throws by Rakeen Brown. That run would not be enough as the Royals would continue their dominant effort and win their 12th game in a row, 94-79 over Catawba.
 
Catawba was led by Jerrin Morrison's 17 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field. Jameel Taylor was also a key player for the Indians as he added 12 points and nine rebounds in the game.
 
The Royals are on the road in their next game as they travel to Lincoln Memorial to face off against the #19 Ranked Railsplitters in a South Atlantic Conference matchup. Tip-off is set for 4:00 p.m.
