Box Score CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The 13th ranked Queens University of Charlotte men's basketball team (14-1, 8-1 SAC) zoomed out to a large lead in the first half and never looked back as they defeated Tusculum College (7-8, 3-7 SAC) 91-71 on Saturday, January 16, 2016.

Rob Lewis led the offensive charge for the Royals with 21 points on 9-of-15 shooting as well as adding five assists.
Daniel Camps also had an outstanding game as he scored 16 points, gathered nine rebounds, and gave out five assists.
Jared Hendryx was very strong defensively as he gathered six rebounds, scored eight points, and blocked fours shots.

The Royals shot 57.6 percent from the field as they made 38-of-66 shots in the game. Queens scored 58 of their points in the paint, including 24 fast break points that ended in highlight reel dunks by a number of Royals players.

Tusculum got off to a good start as they jumped out to a 7-3 lead following a three pointer by Zach Davis. The Royals would then find their heartbeat on offense as they went on a 19-4 run to take a 22-to-11 lead. The run was sparked by two breakaway dunks by Hendryx and Camps. At the 4:42 mark in the first half, the Royals would go on yet another run, this time 10-2, to extend their lead to 19 points. The 19-point margin would stay the same for the remainder of the half as the Royals took a 48-29 lead into the break.

Queens held their strong lead until the Pioneers worked to cut the lead down to 11, 66-55, following an Javon Price three pointer with 9:51 to play in the second half. The Royals responded quickly, blowing the lead back up to 20 points, 75-55, by going on a 10-0 run that was capped by a breakaway layup by
Kendall Jones. The Royals got as large as 23 points in the second half as a Camps dunk gave the Royals their last points of the game and a 91-68 lead with 2:46 left to play.

Darius Carter led the Pioneers with 15 points on 4-of-12 shooting in the game. Four other Tusculum players added at least ten points to guide their offense.

The Royals will look to continue their strong season when they travel to Wingate University on Wednesday, January 20th. Tip-off for the game is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
