Charlotte, N.C. – Bouncing back from a mid-week loss, Queens University of Charlotte men's tennis (12-2, 7-2 SAC) overcame the Indians of Catawba (13-10, 3-7 SAC) on Thursday, April 09, 2015, seeing the match to an 8-1 score in favor of the Royals.

A sweep of the doubles matches gave the Royals the early lead as Ole-Jacob Meum and Zachary Williams took the No. 3 doubles matchup to secure the first point of the day. The two went 8-4 against Iago Montero Nunez and Michael Patch. Jules Athalis and Will Roberson soon followed with an 8-6 win for the No. 2 spot against Lucas Miller and Mitchell McDonald before Per-Erik Soler and Andor Vas took Court 1 with a 8-6 win over Pierce Hoover and Jack Mordey.

Williams immediately headed back onto the court to take the first singles matchup for the team and bring the Royals one point away from the win. Williams secured the No. 6 singles court against Nunez going 6-0, 6-0 for a seamless win. Roberson took the winning point for the team finding a three set victory over Lucas Miller for the No. 3 court. Roberson battled to take the point with a 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 score.

Also working his way through three sets, Soler found his victory on the lead court taking the first and third sets for the win with a 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 victory. Vas and Meum added two more points to the Queens's board, each taking a one set game to eight. Vas took the No. 4 seed with an 8-2 victory over Patch. Meum would top off the day with an 8-3 win over McDonald for the No. 5 court.

The Royals head to Lincoln Memorial on Saturday, April 11 to take on the Railsplitters for a 1 p.m. start time.
