Harrogate, Tenn. – Queens University of Charlotte men's tennis (13-2, 8-2 SAC) took the road win over Lincoln Memorial (6-7, 5-5 SAC) on Saturday, April 11, 2015. The #36 ranked Royals took the match 7-2 conceding just one doubles and one singles court to the Railsplitters.
Per-Erik Soler and
Andor Vas took the top doubles court battling to overcome a 9-7 match against Joshua Coulthard and Will Sparks.
Ole-Jacob Meum and
Zachary Williams gave the Royals the 2-1 lead coming out of doubles, with a win on Court 3 going 8-4 against Stefan Hall and Carlos Zuninio.
Soler, playing the No. 1 spot, secured the 6-1, 6-2 victory over Coulthard.
Jules Athalis confidently found a two set win for the No. 2 spot to take a 6-4, 6-2 victory. Although it was a three set battle,
Will Roberson emerged victorious against Sparks. Roberson held on to take a 6-4, 4-6, 10-4 match. Meum took care of Court 5 launching out to a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Guilherme Rocha.
Sean Harris rounded out the team win, taking an 8-4 win over Stefan Hall for the No. 6 spot.
Royals will hold their last regular season game tomorrow at Freedom Park against Lenoir Rhyne. The match starts at 1 p.m.
