Box Score ANDERSON, S.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte volleyball team wrapped up the week with a South Atlantic Conference game against Anderson University on the road. The Trojans, ranked sixth in the southeast region and third in the league, improved to 21-6 on the year and 14-5 in the SAC. The 3-0 loss (25-10, 25-20, 25-22) brings the Royals' record to 6-22 on the season and 3-16 in league action.
Leading Queens' attack today was
Elizabeth Bialkowski, totaling seven kills with zero errors on 16 attempts for a .438 hitting percentage.

Jessica Raines tallied six.
Rebecca Cochran and
Alex Thompson each finished the game with four kills apiece. Setter
Sydney Kunz registered 21 assists in today's match.

The Trojans started the game fired up, following their senior day presentations. They would take the opening set 25-10.
The Royals were able to match their intensity at the start of the second set, tying things up early on a Mancini service ace. However, the Trojans would respond with an 8-1 push to gain a 13-6 lead. Trailing 17-10, Queens would put together a run of their own, cutting Anderson's lead down to three, 19-6. Unfortunately, a pair of kills and an ace by the Trojans would give the home team just enough to stretch their lead back out and take a 2-0 advantage heading into the final set.
Queens would ride their momentum from the end of the second into the third, taking their first lead of the match, 5-4, on a service ace from Cochran, who ranks top-five in the category in the SAC. A kill from Anderson's Shannon Gillespie returned the serve to the Trojans for three straight points before the Royals answered, putting six consecutive points on the board to take an 11-8 lead.
Queens held on to their advantage until a six-point push returned the lead to the Trojans for good.
Hailey Pittman and Gillespie led the Trojans in kills today with 13 and 12, respectively. Priscilla Irizarry totaled 37 assists.
The Royals are back in action at Catawba on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
