Senior forward
Josh Clyburn led the Royals in scoring tonight just shy of a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds, while senior guard
Jarrett Stokes netted 15 points. Senior forward

Joby Glymph added 10 points.
Â
The Royals had the hot hand early in the game jumping out to a 21-0 lead over the Cobras. The Queens run, highlighted by a dunk from Clyburn at 13:36, would go on until Errick Bethel knocked down a three-pointer with 9:52 to play. Three more buckets from behind the three-point line would follow for Coker, two coming from Bethel, over the next 3:59 as Queens' offense went cold. Senior guard
Jarrett Stokes would knock down a jumper at 5:02 to end the drought, and the Royals went on to end the half with a 28-19 lead.
Â
Out of the break, Coker would tie the game at 30 after opening the second half with an 11-2 run. They would tie the game up a few more times, never taking the lead, until a layup from Evans at 12:52 put Queens up for good. A defensive stop for the Royals would then lead Evans to finding Clyburn open in the paint where he delivered another dunk, putting Queens up 38-34.
Â
Junior guard
Trey Ervin would help the Royals build their lead out to 11 points with 3:13 to play following four straight points from the Kernersville, N.C., native. He would first collect a steal, and drive to the basket for a fast-break bucket, before recording another steal and putting two points on the board at the foul line. Ervin ended the game leading Queens in steals on the night with four.
Â
With a little under three minutes to play, the Cobras began to foul to stop the clock, and try to put a halt to Queens' scoring rhythm by putting them at the free-throw line where they have struggled this season. Though it was effective in slowing the game down, it did not prevent the Royals from going on to collect the 10-point victory in Curry Arena as Queens would stay poised, knocking down 5-7 from the line.
Â
Queens outscored the Cobras 42-12 in the paint this evening, while also winning the battle under the boards, 46-35.
Â
Bethel ended the game with 18 points for Coker after shooting 50 percent from behind the three-point line. Julian Nelson was their next leading scorer with 12 points.

The Royals will be back on home on Monday, December 2 against Johnson C. Smith at 7:30 p.m.
