Box Score ANDERSON, S.C. – The Queens Volleyball team travelled to South Carolina to take on Anderson University in a regional matchup today. The Royals were able to capitalize on a continued run of great play and won the match in three sets by the scores of 27-25, 25-20, and 25-18. When asked Head Coach
Lettie Wilkes attributed the win to the fact that the team “did a good job staying in their system and playing good defense.”
Offensively the Royals were led by
Keri Kemp (Lake Mary) who recorded a team high 13 kills on a stellar conversion rate of .387. She was joined by freshman
Elizabeth Bialkowski (Millbrook) in double digit kills, and freshman
McKenzie Martin (Stratford) led the team in assists with 36. Defensively the Royals were led by libero
Jocelyn Kellinger (Cave Spring) with 17 digs, and she was joined in double digits by
Taylor Riley (E.C. Glass) and
Erin Mooney (Cardinal Mooney).
The win brings the Royals record to 4-4 on the year, and they are on the road again this Friday when they take on Coker.
