Tennis rolls past Rams

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's and women's tennis teams once again took to the courts this weekend as they hosted Winston-Salem State University at Freedom Park today. Much like yesterday fixtures, the brisk temperatures were matched by prevalent winds that affected play all day.

Despite these challenges the men rattled off a 9-0 win and the women followed suit with an 8-1 victory on the day. The men were paced by Christiaan Lee-Daigle (Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada, L'Essor Secondary School) and Joshua Bloch (Johannesburg, South Africa, King David), who each beat their opponents 6-0, 6-0. The women were led by the strong effort of Christina Rustscheff (Toronto, Canada, Bayview Glen) who finished with a score of 6-0, 6-1.

Both teams return to Freedom Park for their next match on Friday when they take on the University of South Carolina – Aiken.
