VALDOSTA, Ga.- The Royals traveled to Valdosta, Ga., this weekend for the Tri-Conference Challenge at Valdosta State University where they faced Georgia Southwestern State University. Queens University of Charlotte lost its season opener to the Hurricanes 3-1.

The lone goal of the game for Queens was scored by Kristen Wright (Salisbury, Md., Parkside). Freshman Heather Wilemon (Statesville, N.C., Statesville) assisted her on the play.

The Hurricanes were led by Zada Hyatt who netted two goals and Kelsi Krohn who scored one.

Queens will take to the field again on Monday, September 5th at 11 a.m. to take on the host team, Valdosta State.
