Royals handle Bobcats in women’s tennis action

Queens has two matches left before the Conference Carolinas Championship Tournament

BANNER ELK, N.C.- The Queens women's tennis team (11-3/6-1CC) took care of the Lees-McRae Bobcats (2-7/2-4CC) this afternoon in a Conference Carolinas match-up in Banner Elk, N.C. Queens easily picked up the win by a score of 8-1.
 
The Royals opened the match by sweeping doubles play. Queens combined to win the doubles matches 24-6.
 
In singles play, Morgan Roberts (Fort Pierce, Fla., Treasure Coast) extended her winning streak seven and she remains undefeated in league action. Amanda Poole (Douglasville, Ga., South Paulding) also remains undefeated in conference play with her victory today.
 
With just two matches left on the year, Queens sits in second place in the league. The Royals travel to Pfeiffer, currently in fourth place, and Limestone, ninth place.
