Saints defeat Royals

The Royals lost 3-0.

GAFFNEY, S.C.— The Limestone College women's volleyball team defeated Conference Carolinas rival Queens University of Charlotte 3-0 on Saturday afternoon. The scores of the match were 25-20, 25-12, and 25-21. Limestone climbs to 16-14 overall and 10-5 in the league. The Royals stand at 7-21 overall and 3-24 in the conference. 

Erinn Moore (Longwood, Fla., Lake Mary) led Queens with 25 assists. Erica Mazur (Waxhaw, N.C., Weddington) and Tori Hernandez (Gainesville, Fla., Gainesvillle) each posted seven kills on the offensive end. Brittany Harvey (Matthews, N.C., Sun Valley ) put the ball down six times to follow Mazur and Hernandez.  Sarah Malpass (Gainesville, Fla., Gainesville) led in the Royals defensive effort with 11 digs on the afternoon. Mazur posted nine digs.
 
All three of the Lady Saint seniors had strong performances today for their final home game of the season. Thomas had 14 kills and 3 blocks, while Anthony posted 10 kills, 3 aces, and 11 digs. England led the team with 20 digs. Danielle Seibert (Naperville, Ill.) had 18 assists and 14 digs. Laura Kerrison (Charleston, S.C. ) had a team-high 20 assists.

The Royals travel to Lees-McRae College on Tuesday for a 7:00 game.
