Nikia Squire (Columbia, S.C., Ridge View) has been selected as the April InterCon Student-Athlete of the Month after helping the women's track and field team capture a second place finish at the Conference Carolinas Championship Meet.

Squire helped account for 44 of the 113.5 points scored by Queens University of Charlotte at the meet by breaking four school records and two conference records. The newcomer was named Freshman Track Athlete of the Year and Freshman Field Athlete of the Year follwing the meet.
