Nic Eriksson has been selected as the February InterCon Student-Athlete of the Month after helping the Royals take second at the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships. 

Eriksson broke two Bluegrass Mountain Conference records at the conference championships winning both the 100 and 200 breastrokes which were also school records. He was third in the 200 IM breaking another school record as well. Eriksson was also a member of relays that broke school and conference records, one of which is currently ranked first in the nation. In total Eriksson captured a total of five all-conference swims. The men's team is also ranked third in the nation academically.

Eriksson's efforts in the pool qualified him to compete in in the NCAA DII Swimming and Diving Championships in Mansfield, Texas.
