Riley Cheek, a senior, guided the Royals to a 6-10 record for the month, including their first Division 1 and ASUN sweep of the season at North Florida. The Shelby native started all 16 games for the Royals and hit a team-best .383 with nine extra-base hits, including six doubles and three home runs. Cheek drove in a team-best 15 runs and rattled off an 11-game hitting streak. Four of the Royals 10 losses on the month were against nationally ranked opponents and two losses were in extra innings. On the season, Cheek is ranked top 20 in the ASUN in batting average and extra-base hits.
