Martinelli, a freshman on both the cross country and triathlon teams, had spectacular performances during the month of October for both programs. On Oct. 15, she helped the triathlon team capture the Division I East Regional Championship racing to a second-place finish. As a result, she was named to the CTCA DI All-East Region Team and was named the All-East Regional Freshman. She then helped the Royals capture a sixth-place finish at the ASUN Women's Cross Country Championship on Oct. 29. She grabbed a top-20 finish individually and earned All-ASUN Third Team honors. This is Martinelli's second straight time being named student-athlete of the month.
