In October, Mendonca led the Royals men's soccer team to a 3-3-1 record, including upset wins over regionally-ranked UNC Wilmington and High Point on the road. The month's highlight was Mendonca's hat trick on senior day in the 3-0 victory over Jacksonville. The hat trick marked the ASUN's first of the year. Of the program's nine hat tricks, Mendonca accounts for four. The Salvador, Brazil native finished the month with six goals and 12 points as he was named Second Team All-Conference at the conclusion of the season.
