Todd Withers of the men's basketball team has been named December InterCon Male Student-Athlete of the Month.

Withers helped the Royals record seven victories in the month of December averaging nearly a double-double with 15.3 points and 9.4 rebounds per game. The senior guard recorded four double-doubles during the month giving him a total of 12 in his career. Additionally, he reached his 1,000^th career point in the Royals’ conference win over Carson-Newman University at home on December 13. He also recorded a new career-high 16 rebounds in Queens’ win over Tarleton State University on December 31. Following the Tarleton win, Withers earned SAC AstroTurf Player of the Week honors.
 
Withers leads the Royals this season averaging 14.1 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. His three-point field goal percentage of .42 leads the team as well. The Greensboro, N.C., native also ranks among the top in the SAC in each category. Queens’ men are currently ranked No. 1 in the nation with a 16-0 overall record. They are 8-0 in league play.
