Corey Brown receives the InterCon Student Athlete of the Month award for the third time this year after helping Queens find their way to the finals of the South Atlantic Conference Tournament.

  In the quarterfinal round, Brown found two assists to see the team top Anderson 2-1. Advancing to the semifinals against Carson-Newman, Brown again aided a Royals’ goal finding Celes Vilar to give Queens a 2-0 lead. Carson-Newman would force overtime and a penalty kick shootout as Brown made the first shot for the Royals as the team advanced to the finals.

“During the month of November Corey was named to the CoSIDA Academic All- America First Team due to a fantastic season leading our team with nine goals and 11 assists while maintaining a 3.95 GPA in Biochemistry,” said Head Coach Oliver Carias. “He was also named South Atlantic Conference Men’s Soccer Scholar Athlete of the Year. Corey earned this award by his excellent performances on the field, classroom and in the community. He exemplifies the true meaning of a successful student-athlete. He has been a great ambassador for our program and school, and he has been a great leader and influence for his teammates.”
