Rachel Murray joins the Royals as a sports performance dietitian for all Queens athletics teams.
Prior to working at Queens, she served as a genetic and metabolic dietitian at the University of Virginia Health System. She specialized in caring for individuals with inherited metabolic diseases and adults with cystic fibrosis. In addition to working in the clinical setting, she volunteered with the UVA football team as a member of their nutrition staff.
Murray received her bachelor’s degree in public health nutrition from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her master’s degree in nutrition science from Meredith College. During her time as a graduate student, she worked as a nutrition intern with North Carolina State University athletics. She completed her dietetic internship at the University of Virginia Health System and became a registered dietitian in 2020.
