Chris Williams joined the Royals in August of 2022 as an assistant director for athletic communications for the Royals after most recently spending time as an athletic communications associate for the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) national office.
While with the NJCAA, Williams served as the primary media relations contact for all DII primary sports and lacrosse, swimming and diving, and wrestling. He also held administrative duties moderating weekly rankings calls and serving as the NJCAA national office representative at multiple championship sites.
Prior to joining the NJCAA national office, Williams was a communications assistant at the University of Akron where he served as the primary sport contact for women’s volleyball, women’s swimming and diving, and men’s and women’s rifle. He also helped the communications office lay the foundation for their first women’s lacrosse season in program history and served as the primary statistician for basketball, football, and soccer.

Williams is a Long Island native and served as a student assistant in the sports information office at SUNY Purchase while also competing for four seasons on the men’s volleyball team. He received a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies upon graduation.
