Heather Peer is geared up for her third season as assistant women's basketball coach. A native of Ann Arbor, Mich., Peer obtained an associate degree in business administration from Owens Community College in Toledo, Ohio, where she served as the starting point guard and team captain. Her picture was hung in the gym for receiving Distinguished Academic All-American honors and graduating with a 3.82 G.P.A.
After her successes at Owens, Peer transferred to West Virginia State University in Institute, W.Va. There, she received her bachelors degree in marketing while starting as point guard and team captain for the WVSU Yellow Jackets.
After graduating from college in 2007, Peer spent a year in West Virginia, gaining experience in business, and utilizing her degrees. Having moved to Charlotte to get involved in collegiate athletics, Peer is excited to be part of the Royals basketball staff, and to help the team meet and exceed their goals.
