Kevin Iwanusa

Kevin Iwanusa, a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, is a volunteer assistant coach for the men's lacrosse team.

Previously he served three seasons as Weddington High Schools head coach, bringing them their first League Championship in 2006, and leading them to compete as a varsity program for the first time in 2007 reaching the 4A state playoffs. Iwanusa spent six seasons at the College level before Weddington. He served a one year stint at Pfeiffer University before heading to Wingate University where he coached for five seasons. There the Cincinnati, Ohio native helped the Bulldogs to their first NCAA national semi-final appearance in school history in 2000.  Wingate posted a 43-30 record in Iwanusa's five seasons on its sideline and saw 21 players garner All-Deep South honors.

As a player, Iwanusa began his career at Division I, Michigan State University before he transferred to Pfeiffer University.  At Pfeiffer, he was twice selected as an All American, earned 1st team All Conference honors 3 times and led all NCAA divisions in scoring in 1997. 

Iwanusa currently competes with the Charlotte Lacrosse Club.
