Connor Doyle joined the Royals in August 2023 from Alabama Huntsville where he served as head coach for three seasons.
Doyle, the second head coach in UAH history, became the all-time winningest coach in three seasons with the Chargers. The program put together a 26-22 overall record, reaching the PBC Championship final twice. They were the 2022 Peach Belt Regular Season Champions and in 2023 they were nationally ranked for the first time in program history.
As head coach for the Chargers, Doyle helped guide and develop one CSC Academic All-American, five CSC Academic All-District performers, two PBC Freshmen of the Year, and 16 All-PBC honorees. Additionally, he earned PBC Coach of the Year following his team's performance during the 2022 season.
Doyle joined the Chargers after spending two seasons at Montevallo as the program's defensive coordinator. In his role, he helped coach seven GLVC all-conference selections and the GLVC Goalkeeper of the Year in 2018 and 2019. His day-to-day responsibilities in addition to coordinating the defense included film breakdown, practice planning, player development, creating scouting reports, implementing a strength and conditioning plan, and monitoring student-athlete academic progress.
Prior to his time at Montevallo, Doyle was the defensive coordinator for one year at Huntingdon College following a one-season stint at St. Mary's College of Maryland. Doyle's first collegiate job was at Shorter where he served first as a graduate assistant before climbing the ranks to ultimately serving as the interim head coach in 2015.
Doyle earned his bachelor's degree in sport management from Belmont Abbey in 2013. He also holds an MBA from Shorter.
