Andrew Athens

Athens is a May 2011 graduate of Presbyterian College where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration. While at Presbyterian, Athens was a three-year varsity winner for the Blue Hose at the attack and midfield positions. The two-year captain is the all-time leader in points, goals and assists in Presbyterian’s Division I history. He also holds the record for most goals scored in a game with seven.

Before attending Presbyterian, Athens was a student at Anne Arundel Community College graduating with an associate’s degree in art in May 2007. He also played lacrosse for the Pioneers leading the team in goals and getting named to the all-region team.

Athens’ coaching experience includes being an assistant varsity men’s lacrosse coach at Northern High School and the head coach of the Southern Maryland All-Star High School Club Team. In addition to that, Athens has been a coach and counselor at the Southern Maryland Summer Lacrosse Camp, the Bucknell Lacrosse Camp, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes’ Lacrosse Camp and the Penn State Lacrosse Camp.
