Kerr comes to the Royals after serving in multiple roles across the basketball landscape.
The new addition to the Royals coaching staff most recently worked for PGC Basketball as a skill development instructor and event manager during the summer. In addition to his summer duties, Kerr also handled basketball registration and customer service with the courses offered at PGC.
Furthermore, Kerr has worked within the skill development realm as an intern at Impact Basketball Academy and A&M Sports Academy. Kerr’s main duty within A&M Sports was player development. However, while at Impact Basketball, Kerr’s responsibilities included player development, scouting, video analysis and coaching.
Additionally, Kerr served in coaching roles as a student assistant at Methodist University as well as the head junior varsity coach at Fayetteville Christian School. Kerr’s responsibilities at both stops included academic advisor, recruiting, scouting, strength and conditioning, player development, travel planning, practice planning and in-game strategy.
Kerr earned his bachelor’s degree in physical education from Methodist University in December 2014.
