Dakota Thompson joins Queens University after spending the first five years of his career in the high school setting. He previously served as the Head Athletic Trainer for Charleston Collegiate School contracted by The Medical University of South Carolina. Thompson worked to make Charleston a safer place for athletes through sporting tournaments, publishing sports medicine blog articles, and providing care across various high schools.

Thompson received his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Western Carolina University in 2019. During his time with Western Carolina University. He had the opportunity to seek diverse immersion clinical rotations such as: Vanderbilt University (Preseason Football), Coastal Carolina University (Football and men’s Basketball), and North Carolina State University (Baseball and Wrestling). Thompson later earned his Master of Health Administration from Louisiana State University Shreveport in 2024.
