Al Daspin

Al Daspin joined the Queens University baseball program as an assistant coach in 2017.

Daspin’s duties include player development, general conditioning, academic supervision, travel logistics, recruiting evaluation,  advance scouting, community outreach programming, fundraising activities,  and operational administration, including grounds keeping. Daspin also works extensively with The Knothole Foundation, where he spearheads development of The Tuckaseegee Dream Fields and Education Center complex, which serves as home base for the Royals baseball and softball programs.

Prior to arriving in the Queen City,  Daspin  served as an assistant men’s basketball coach at Flagler College.

Daspin holds a B.A. from Miami University (Ohio), and a J.D./M.B.A from Indiana University.

Daspin and his wife, Michele, live in  Dilworth, where they reside with their beloved dogs.
