GREENVILLE, S.C. — Queens University of Charlotte women's volleyball battled throughout the final set, but N.C. A&T held on for a 3-0 victory (25-19, 25-22, 25-23) Thursday afternoon at Timmons Arena.
MATCH NOTES
- N.C. A&T opened the match with a 25-19 first-set victory, hitting .414 while Queens hit .107.
- Queens battled back in the second set, recording 14 kills and hitting .190, but the Aggies held on for a 25-22 win.
- N.C. A&T built an early advantage in the third set before Queens battled back late.
- The Aggies led 21-16 in the third set before Queens scored five straight points to tie the frame at 21-21. Marlee Cook recorded two consecutive service aces during the run.
- Queens continued to battle in the closing points, but N.C. A&T regained the lead at 24-23 before closing out the set, 25-23, on a Queens attack error.
- The third set featured 14 ties and six lead changes.
