Queens Women’s Basketball Announces 2026-27 Schedule

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Queens University of Charlotte women's basketball and head coach Jen Brown have officially announced the program's complete 2026-27 schedule, featuring 30 regular-season contests and 14 opportunities to compete inside Curry Arena at the Levine Center.

The Royals will navigate a 16-game non-conference slate before turning their attention to a 14-game Atlantic Sun Conference schedule. Queens will play 14 true road games and two neutral-site contests while facing a challenging collection of regional opponents, familiar foes and postseason-tested programs.

"We've stayed true to our commitment to competing against the best in the country every year, and this season is no different, said Brown". "We're excited for our team to once again compete on the national stage against outstanding teams. Our team's mantra this year is 'Meet The Moment,' and every game on this schedule presents a chance to live that out. We're looking forward to embracing the challenge."

The Royals begin the campaign on Monday, Nov. 2, with a trip to Tuscaloosa to face Alabama. The Crimson Tide finished the 2025-26 season with a 24-11 overall record and advanced to the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament before falling to Texas. Alabama later reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament, defeating Rhode Island in its opening-round matchup before bowing out against Louisville. Two days later, Queens travels to Nashville for a Wednesday, Nov. 4 meeting with Vanderbilt. The Commodores are coming off a 29-5 campaign that included a 13-3 mark in SEC play and the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament. Vanderbilt responded to an early exit from the SEC Tournament by making a run to the NCAA Sweet 16, where its season ended in a tightly contested 67-64 loss to Notre Dame.

Following the challenging SEC road swing, Queens will make its home debut on Monday, Nov. 9, when Carolina University visits Curry Arena. The Royals then make the short trip to Boiling Springs for a Saturday, Nov. 14 matchup with Gardner-Webb.

Queens returns home for consecutive contests against College of Charleston on Wednesday, Nov. 18, and Coker on Saturday, Nov. 21. The Royals will spend Thanksgiving weekend in Boone competing in the App State Tournament. Queens opens tournament action against UNC Asheville on Friday, Nov. 27, before facing Western Carolina the following afternoon. The back-to-back neutral-site matchups will give the Royals an early opportunity to compete in a tournament-style setting.

December opens with a Wednesday, Dec. 2 road contest at USC Upstate. Queens will then return to Curry Arena for its longest homestand of the non-conference schedule, welcoming West Georgia on Sunday, Dec. 6, UNCW on Sunday, Dec. 13, and North Alabama on Saturday, Dec. 19. The meeting with North Alabama will reunite Queens with a familiar opponent from the Royals' first four seasons in the ASUN. North Alabama is transitioning to the United Athletic Conference, formerly the Western Athletic Conference, as part of the groundbreaking Unisun Sports partnership between the UAC and ASUN. Queens concludes the 2026 calendar year with back-to-back road contests, traveling to Durham to face NC Central on Tuesday, Dec. 22, before visiting Austin Peay in Clarksville, Tennessee, on Thursday, Dec. 31.

The Royals open the new year at Eastern Kentucky on Saturday, Jan. 2, before beginning ASUN play one week later at West Florida on Saturday, Jan. 9. Queens will briefly step away from conference competition on Monday, Jan. 11, when the Royals host South Carolina State in their final non-conference contest.

Queens resumes ASUN action with a challenging Florida road swing, visiting FGCU on Thursday, Jan. 14, and Stetson on Saturday, Jan. 16. The three contests against West Florida, FGCU and Stetson mean the Royals will play their first three conference games away from Charlotte. The Royals make their ASUN home debut on Thursday, Jan. 21, against Jacksonville before hosting North Florida on Saturday, Jan. 23.

Queens closes January with another two-game road trip, traveling to Bellarmine on Thursday, Jan. 28, and Lipscomb on Saturday, Jan. 30.

Five of the Royals' final seven regular-season games will be played inside Curry Arena. The stretch begins with three consecutive home contests against West Florida on Saturday, Feb. 6, Stetson on Thursday, Feb. 11, and FGCU on Saturday, Feb. 13. Queens will make its final road trip of the regular season the following week, facing North Florida on Thursday, Feb. 18, and Jacksonville on Saturday, Feb. 20. The Royals conclude the regular season at home, welcoming Lipscomb on Thursday, Feb. 25, before hosting Bellarmine in the finale on Saturday, Feb. 27.

Queens enters the 2026-27 campaign after securing its second consecutive double-digit-win season, finishing the 2025-26 year with a 10-20 overall record and a 4-15 mark in ASUN play. Among the key returners is Brenae Jones-Grant, who averaged 8.5 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game while shooting 49.7 percent from the field. Breah Franks also returns after averaging 4.2 points and 3.1 rebounds while shooting 50 percent from the floor during her freshman campaign. Queens will also welcome Mia Moore to the court for her highly anticipated Royals debut after missing last season due to injury after spending two seasons at Rock Valley College. A two-time NJCAA Second Team All-American and two-time WBCA Two-Year College All-American, Moore averaged 20 points, six rebounds and three assists per game while shooting 31 percent from beyond the arc. She concluded her Rock Valley career as the program's all-time leader in points with 1,214 and steals with 180.
