The Tar Heels used a four-run first inning to set the tone before adding four more runs in the sixth to secure the run-rule victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
North Carolina jumped out quickly in the bottom of the first, stringing together a walk, a single, and a hit-by-pitch before Raegan Jennings delivered a three-run double to make it 4-0.

Queens settled in defensively after the opening frame, holding the Tar Heels scoreless through the middle innings while working through competitive at-bats and several balls in play on defense.

The Royals' pitching effort kept UNC off the board in innings two through five, but the Tar Heels broke through again in the sixth with a pair of extra-base hits, including a two-run double and a two-run home run, to close out the game via run rule.

UP NEXT
Queens will face Jacksonville back home this weekend.
