CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The College Sports Communicators announced its 2026 Academic All-District Teams this week, recognizing four members of the Queens University of Charlotte women's basketball program for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Graduate student Jermany Mapp, senior Ana Barreto, sophomore Brenae Jones-Grant, and junior Alyssa Lewis each earned the honor for the Royals.
Mapp, a graduate student from Chester, South Carolina, holds a 3.67 GPA while pursuing her graduate degree in business. A staple in the Royals' lineup, she started all 30 games during the 2025-26 season and provided consistent leadership in the backcourt.
Barreto, a senior from Lisbon, Portugal, carries a 3.60 GPA as a business major. She also started all 30 contests for Queens, serving as a veteran presence and key contributor throughout the season.
Jones-Grant, a sophomore from Plainfield, New Jersey, leads the group with a 3.87 GPA while majoring in communication. She appeared in 29 games with 12 starts, continuing to emerge as an impact player for the Royals.
Lewis, a junior from Harrisburg, North Carolina, maintains a 3.61 GPA while pursuing a degree in business. She saw action in 28 games, contributing valuable minutes for the Royals.
The CSC Academic All-District program recognizes student-athletes who demonstrate excellence in both academics and athletics. Nominees must meet high standards for academic achievement and on-court participation to be eligible for the honor.
