THE SHORT STORY
Following a lengthy road stretch, the Queens University of Charlotte men's basketball team returned to Curry Arena and took down Jacksonville 93-84 on Thursday night. Five different Royals reached double figures as Queens shot 54-percent from the field, the best clip in ASUN action this season.

FROM COACH LEONARD
"Our guys know that they are a good team, but getting back in the win column today was a big deal. I thought we were really locked in on the game plan. JU is unbelievably physical. I think they're the biggest, strongest, most physical team in the league. I'm really proud of our guys' effort to get more offensive rebounds and handle their pressure with only five turnovers."

BY THE NUMBERS
-Yoav Berman led the Royals in scoring, dropping 17 points and grabbing four rebounds while shooting an efficient 6-for-8 from the field.
-Nasir Mann had a solid all-around performance, scoring 15 points, dishing out four assists, and grabbing three rebounds.
-Avantae Parker was a notable presence inside, scoring 13 points and grabbing six rebounds.
-Maban Jabriel was a major contributor off the bench, scoring 14 points, grabbing three steals, and nailing two three-pointers in 24 minutes of play.
-Jordan Watford continued to impress, scoring 13 points and dropping four assists while making five of his six looks from the foul line.
-Sharpshooters Carson Schweiger and Chris Ashby combined for 16 points and made two three-pointers apiece.
-Isaiah Henry earned the Street Dog of the Game for providing four points and five rebounds over 12 minutes of work. The freshman sent Curry Arena into a frenzy with a posterizing dunk in the second half.
-Four Dolphins reached double figures as Donovan Rivers led the way with 17 points, including an 11-for-14 clip from the charity stripe.

NOTABLE MOMENTS
- Queens started hot offensively, scoring 12 points in the first five minutes, but Jacksonville had an answer for every Queens basket, only allowing the Royals a 14-13 lead at the first media timeout.
-Leading 16-13 with 11:30 to play in the first half, the Queens strong defense initiated an 11-5 run in which they recorded three steals during that span. Carson Schweiger, Nasir Mann and Chris Ashby each buried a three-pointer in that span to extend the Royals' lead to nine at the under 8:00 media timeout.
-Though Jacksonville did a good job keeping Queens out of transition, they struggled to score outside of the free throw line across the final eight minutes of the half as Queens only allowed one made field goal in that span to lead 44-31 at halftime.
-Leading 50-37 with 16:30 to play, Yoav Berman posted up a Jacksonville defender and worked his way to the basket to draw the foul and hit a turnaround floater through contact for his second and-one opportunity of the game.  This sparked a 13-8 run over the next five minutes in which Jordan Watford and Maban Jabriel combined for nine points.
-Leading 63-49 with 10:40 to play, Maban Jabriel found Isaiah Henry cutting to the basket in transition for a powerful one-handed slam that rocked the rim and ignited the crowd in Curry Arena.
-After trailing big for majority of the game, Jacksonville cut the lead down to 13 with 5:27 remaining, but Yoav Berman answered back quickly for the Royals, stepping to the left wing and drilling a three-pointer to keep the Dolphins at bay. Less than a minute later, Jordan Watford maneuvered out of a double team and launched a pass just over a Jacksonville player's fingertips to find Maban Jabriel wide open in the corner, who nailed a three-pointer to extend the Royals lead to 17.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
-Chris Ashby connected on a pair of threes inching him closer to second place all-time in ASUN history. The sharpshooter needs six threes to pass Garrison Mathews (Lipscomb) for second-most.
-The scoring production throughout the lineup continued as five different Royals reached double figures in the same game for the 12th time this season.
-Queens forced 12 Dolphins turnovers and converted those miscues into 15 points.
-With the victory, Queens improved to 3-3 all-time against Jacksonville, completing the season sweep of the Dolphins.
