THE SHORT STORY
Queens fell 65-47 on the road at Central Arkansas Thursday evening inside the Farris Center. After a tight opening quarter, the Sugar Bears used a strong second and third period to create separation, shooting 56.3 percent in the third quarter to take control. The Royals battled in the fourth, but the early deficit proved too much to overcome.

• Dayuna Colvin led Queens with 15 points and seven rebounds while logging a team-high 40 minutes.
• Jermany Mapp added seven points, while Breah Franks contributed eight points on an efficient 3-of-4 shooting in 15 minutes off the bench.
• The Royals shot 24.6 percent (14-of-57) from the field and 20.0 percent (4-of-20) from three, while Central Arkansas finished at 40.0 percent overall and 29.6 percent from beyond the arc.

• Queens trailed just 13–12 after the first quarter following a competitive opening frame that featured one lead change and a tie.
• Central Arkansas outscored the Royals 17–5 in the second quarter, limiting Queens to 12.5 percent shooting in the period to build a 30–17 halftime advantage.
• The Sugar Bears extended their lead in the third quarter behind 9-of-16 shooting from the floor, pushing the margin to 52–31 entering the final period.
• Queens showed fight in the fourth, scoring 16 points and going 9-of-10 from the free throw line, but Central Arkansas maintained control down the stretch.
