NOTABLE MOMENTS
-Eastern Kentucky jumped on the visiting Royals with a 16-5 run to start the first four and a half minutes of play. Queens settled in as they responded with a 12-2 run to cut the deficit back down to one heading into the second media timeout. Senior Nasir Mann capped off the run, powering through the EKU defense and scoring the bucket while drawing the foul.
-Leading by seven with 5:13 remaining, EKU put together a 9-2 run over two minutes to extend their lead to the largest of the half at 14. Queens responded to finish the half on a 10-1 run to take a 50-45 deficit into the break. In the opening half, EKU connected on 21 points from deep, but the Royals matched it with 20 points from the charity stripe.
-Queens carried that late momentum from the first half into the start of the second half as the Royals jumped out on an 11-3 run, capped off by a Yoav Berman triple to force an EKU timeout as Queens jolted in front for the first time of the night.
-Holding a four-point advantage with 11:29 to go in the game, Queens ripped off a 13-4 run to take a 13-point lead. During the run, four different Royals recorded a bucket as Berman and Watford led the charge with eight combined points.
