THE SHORT STORY
Queens was unable to recover from a slow start Thursday night, falling 85–47 to Austin Peay in ASUN action at F&M Bank Arena. The Governors built separation early behind efficient shooting in the opening half, while the Royals found a rhythm offensively in the third quarter before Austin Peay closed the game with a strong final frame.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Jermany Mapp led all scorers for Queens with 17 points, knocking down five three-pointers while playing 37 minutes.
- Ana Barreto finished with 10 points, scoring consistently across all four quarters.
- Magda Freire added nine points and four assists, while Hannah Hicks pulled down a team-high eight rebounds.

- Austin Peay opened the game with back-to-back scoring runs to take a double-digit lead late in the first quarter.
