THE SHORT STORY
The Queens University of Charlotte men's volleyball team earned its fifth win of the season Thursday night, defeating Charleston in four sets on the road. The Royals controlled the first two frames with efficient offense before closing out a tight fourth set to secure the 3-1 victory, 25-15, 25-22, 21-25, 25-23.
"Our aggressive serving spoke loud, but our perseverance spoke louder," said head coach Roger Peluso. "Huge pride in this team, especially Chance Shampine and Charlie Podgorny, whose resilience never wavered."

- Queens hit .303 as a team with 47 kills and just 11 errors on 119 swings.
- The Royals totaled 40 assists, 11 service aces, 31 digs, and 14 total blocks.
- Queens opened the match hitting .381 in the first set and .483 in the second.

- Queens responded late in the fourth, holding off the Golden Eagles for a 25-23 clincher.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Shampine filled the stat sheet with eight digs and eight aces in addition to his 10 kills. His eight aces is the most made in a 2026 NCAA match to date, and also serves as a program record for the Royals.
- Podgorny accounted for 32 of Queens' 40 assists.
- The Royals combined for 14 total blocks at the net to disrupt Charleston's attack.
- Charleston was led offensively by Conrad Spidsø with a match-high 22 kills.
