THE SHORT STORY
The Queens University of Charlotte men's basketball team saw its winning streak come to an end on Saturday afternoon in a 74-66 loss at West Georgia. The Royals shot 40 percent from the field, their lowest mark in a conference game this season, and turned the ball over 12 times, which West Georgia converted into 12 points.

BY THE NUMBERS
-Junior Avantae Parker led the Royals offense with 20 points while adding seven rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and a season-high three steals.
-Yoav Berman added 10 points, four rebounds, and five assists over 29 minutes of work.
-Carson Schwieger provided a spark with four triples to finish with 12 points, three rebounds, and an assist.
-Rookie Jordan Watford turned in his eighth straight game in double figures with 12 points on 50 percent shooting.
-Maban Jabriel came off the bench and supplied five points, five rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block over 16 minutes of action.
-Shelton Williams-Dryden led the Wolves with a 24 point and 11 rebound double-double while Josh Smith added 20 points to his line.
-West Georgia outrebounded the Royals 37-35 on the afternoon as Queens fell to 4-6 this season when being outrebounded by their opponent.

NOTABLE MOMENTS
-After falling behind 8-3 early, West Georgia capitalized on four Queens turnovers and a slow shooting stretch with a 15-4 run to take an 18-12 lead into the under-12 media break. Malcolm Noel led the charge during that stretch with six points.
-Trailing 45-36 with 13:40 remaining in the game, Queens connected on 6-of-8 attempts to go on a 17-5 run over nearly five minutes to tie the game 50-50. Carson Schwieger supplied the spark with nine points on three triples during that span.
-Just moments later, West Georgia capitalized on a three-minute Queens scoring drought with a 7-0 run to regain a seven-point advantage. Josh Smith led the Wolves with five points during that span.
-With a minute left in the action, Yoav Berman connected on a critical three-pointer to bring the Royals back within two. However, Shelton Williams-Dryden responded with a tough turnaround mid-range jumper that proved to be the dagger. Queens attempted one last three, but was unsuccessful as the Wolves sank four more free throws to claim the 74-66 victory.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
-Queens fell to 2-9 this season when trailing at the halftime break.
-West Georgia swatted 10 shots on the day, the most by a Royals opponent this season. JaVar Daniel led the Wolves with five blocks.
