THE SHORT STORY
Behind a 17-point and 12-rebound double-double from
Avantae Parker, the Queens University of Charlotte men's basketball team took down North Florida inside UNF Arena on Saturday afternoon. The victory extended the Royals winning streak to four straight games to open ASUN play for the second straight year.
BY THE NUMBERS
-Parker led the Royals with his first double-double of the season, and second of his collegiate career.
-Veteran
Nasir Mann stayed hot dropping 17 points on 5-of-9 shooting while pulling down six rebounds and dishing out three assists.

Yoav Berman reached double figures for the ninth time this season with 16 points. The Tel Aviv, Israel native added four rebounds and three assists to his afternoon.
-Rookie
Jordan Watford continued to shine in league play with 13 points, five rebounds, and a game-high six assists over 23 minutes.

Chris Ashby inched closer to the three-point record, connecting on three triples and a pair of free throws for 11 points.

Carson Schwieger added nine points on three triples and four key rebounds.
-Kamrin Oriol led all scorers with 29 points on 12-of-21 shooting.
-The Royals won the battle on the glass 41-31, and 14-8 on the offensive end, which they turned into 20 second-chance points.
NOTABLE MOMENTS
-Trailing 10-8 early in the first half, the Ospreys put together a 14-6 run behind five points from Kent Jackson. North Florida held the Royals offense in check during that span as Queens went 2-for-10 from the field with
Maban Jabriel and
Carson Schwieger connecting from deep to do the scoring.
-Coming out of the under-eight media break, the Royals strung together a 9-3 run capped off by a
Chris Ashby three to force a North Florida timeout as the game was tied back up 25-25.
-Holding a seven-point advantage with 11:38 to go in the game, Queens ripped off an 8-2 run on 3-of-4 shooting from the field to extend their lead to the largest of the game at 10.
-The Ospreys wouldn't go away easily, stringing together a 12-4 run on 5-of-5 shooting to cut the deficit back down to two. Kamrin Oriol took control for North Florida, netting eight points during that span.

Chris Ashby sits at 341 career three-pointers and needs three to break Chris Benson's school record set back in 2003.
-The 29 points from Kamrin Oriol were the second-most points scored by a Royals opponent this season.
-Queens improved to 2-5 all-time against North Florida, a series that dates back to 1993.
