CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Facing their Carolina foe, Winthrop University on Friday night at Dickson Field, the Queens University of Charlotte men's soccer team (2-2) picked up its second straight victory with a 1-0 win. The victory improved the Royals record to 7-3-1 against Big South opponents over the last four years.

Matheus Rhormens booted a deep ball down the field, finding forward
Oliver Kneer. The Tuscaloosa, Alabama native quickly deked the Winthrop defender and saw a 1-on-1 with the goalkeeper, who he beat with a left-footed strike into the top left corner of the net.

- Sophomore goalkeeper Mattheus Rhormens made his fourth start in goal this season and turned in his second straight clean sheet with three saves, and added his first career assist.
