WORDS FROM BLAKE CHILDERS
"This team loves making history. I truly can't explain how proud I am of this group of young ladies. They check all the boxes. They are not only all good players, but they are all a joy to be around. It's so great to see them have their hard work and dedication pay off. This is such a special group! The entire starting five finished inside the top 15, on a tricky golf course. They stayed focused, they believed in each other, and they got the job done. First Team win in the D1 era!
Also, super proud of Grace. She started out hot with four birdies on the front and then just played super solid on her way in. It's not easy closing out a golf tournament, and she handled it like a seasoned veteran, yet she's only in her first year. She was also the only player in the entire field to finish under par for the tournament. Back-to-back individual wins for us with Jillian last week and now Grace. These two freshmen are just getting started!"
