THE SHORT STORY:Â
Charlotte, N.C. – The Queens University women's tennis team (0-4) continued its search for its first win of the season but fell 4-0 to Charleston Southern on Monday morning at the Howard Levine Tennis Center.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Charleston Southern secured the doubles point with a pair of decisive victories. At the No. 2 position, Carle Botha and Jaden Dadviston defeated
Audrey Serb and
Zoe Cvitanovic 6-0, while Queens was forced to forfeit at No. 3 doubles.
- The No. 1 match, featuring
Lucy Hogan and
Andreea Onitoiu against Noa Boyd and Amila Jusufbegovic, was left unfinished with Charleston Southern leading 5-0.
- In singles play, the Buccaneers clinched the match after securing three quick victories. Botha defeated Onitoiu 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3, while two forfeits at No. 5 and No. 6 singles put Queens in a difficult position.
- The remaining matches went unfinished, but Hogan led 6-1 at No. 1 singles against Brenda Yoris, showcasing a strong start.
- Cvitanovic trailed 2-6 at No. 2, while Serb was in a battle at No. 4, down 3-6 when the match was halted.

Queens will return to action on Saturday, February 8, when they take on Davidson at 1 p.m. at the Howard Levine Tennis Center.
