THE SHORT STORY
The Queens University of Charlotte men's basketball team got back on track Monday night with a key road victory at West Georgia as they head into their regular season finale. In the win, 11 different Royals scored as freshman Yoav Berman led the charge matching his season-high with 22 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field, and 8-of-8 from the charity stripe. With the win, Queens remains tied for fifth as they head to the league leaders in North Alabama on Wednesday night.

BY THE NUMBERS
-Tel Aviv, Israel native Yoav Berman reached double figures for the 11th game this season with a team-high 22 points. The freshman added four rebounds across 22 minutes of action.
-Sharpshooter Chris Ashby continued to shine from the perimeter draining four three pointers and finishing with 16 points. The guard added four boards to his line which was one shy of his career-high.
-Center Malcolm Wilson put together a fantastic night scoring seven points while adding four rebounds and three blocks. The nation's leading shot blocker swatted his 100th block of the season in the early minutes.
-Charlotte native Bryce Cash packed the stat sheet with two points, seven rebounds, and six assists across 30 minutes of work.
-Freshman Maban Jabriel played a pivotal role off the bench scoring six points while adding six rebounds, a block, and a steal.
-Jaxon Pollard and Asjon Anderson combined to score eight points and grab seven rebounds off the bench.
-Nasir Mann, DJ Shine, and Jordon Nevill rounded out the offense with five combined points on 4-of-4 shooting from the charity stipe.
-Shelton Williams-Dryden led all scorers with 30 points while adding seven rebounds.
-The difference in the game proved to be the Royals depth as the Queens bench outscored West Georgia 41-12. The 41 points tied for the third most by the Royals bench against a Division 1 opponent this season.
-The Royals perimeter defense shined holding the Wolves to a 1-for-11 mark from downtown.

NOTABLE MOMENTS
-The first eight minutes of action saw a back-and-forth affair with four lead changes as the Wolves took a 14-13 lead into the second media break. West Georgia took advantage of an aggressive Royals squad who committed five quick fouls during that span. Sharpshooter Chris Ashby paced the early offense with a pair of three-pointers.
-Trailing 19-17 with 6:28 remaining in the first half, freshman Yoav Berman sparked a 6-0 run by himself connecting on four straight at the charity stripe to give the Royals the lead back. However, the advantage was short lived as West Georgia responded with a 6-0 run from Shelton Williams-Dryden to put the Wolves back ahead by one heading into the final media break of the first half.
-Queens would finish the half strong going on a 13-2 run over the final four minutes to take a 35-27 lead into the break. Freshman Yoav Berman was key during that run totaling eight points to finish the first 20 minutes with 16 points.
-Coming out of the break, the visiting Royals maintained that momentum opening the second half on a 12-6 run connecting on 4-of-4 shots from the field to grab a 14-point lead. Veterans Chris Ashby and Kalib Mathews paced the early half surge with five points each during that span.
-Trailing by 16 with under 10 minutes to go, West Georgia continued to battle putting together a 12-4 run to cut the deficit back down to eight. During that span, the Wolves went 5-of-7 from the field as Shelton Williams-Dryden led the charge with six points.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
-Graduate student Malcolm Wilson became the first player in Division 1 program history to swat 100 blocks in a single season with his first block of the game. The Columbia, South Carolina native has led the nation in blocks all season.
-With the victory, Queens has matched their most wins in Division 1 program history.
-The physical league battle saw both teams get to the free throw line, but the Royals converted 21-of-24 opportunities while the Wolves only cashed in 14-of-21 attempts.
-Queens improved to 4-0 all-time against West Georgia, and 2-0 in Division 1.

Queens will wrap up the regular season on Wednesday, February 26th when they travel to Florence, Alabama to face the league leaders in North Alabama.
