JACKSONVILLE, FLA. – The Queens University of Charlotte women's volleyball team battled throughout a competitive three-set match at North Florida on Friday evening, ultimately falling 25–19, 25–17, and 25–21 inside UNF Arena. The Royals move to 16–10 overall and 7–6 in ASUN play, while the Ospreys improve to 11–15 (5–8 ASUN).
Despite the final scoreline, Queens put together strong stretches in all three frames against a North Florida squad that hit .217 on the night. The Royals totaled 28 kills, 43 digs, and 26 assists.
Sophomore Mia McMillen led the Royals' attack with seven kills on .316 hitting to go along with eight digs, while Elizabeth Layson chipped in six kills. Callie DeSchryver added five kills and five points, and Anna Grace Sparks and Emma Norris each finished with three kills.
In the back row, Tilley Collins anchored the defense with a team-high 13 digs, and setters Tyler Peluso and Marlee Cook combined for 18 assists and 14 digs, helping Queens stay competitive in long rallies.
Queens opened the match with energy, taking an early 5–1 lead in the first set before UNF rallied to take control late. The Royals continued to fight through each set—battling through 10 ties and six lead changes in the third—but the Ospreys managed to close out each frame down the stretch.

Queens will look to bounce back quickly as it continues its Florida swing on Saturday, Nov. 8, taking on Jacksonville at 5 p.m. inside Swisher Gymnasium.
