Queens Closes Regular Season with Defensive Stand in Draw vs. Jacksonville

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Queens (3-10-5, 2-6-2 ASUN) capped off its regular season with a hard-fought 0-0 draw against Jacksonville (9-4-4, 6-1-3 ASUN) on Saturday afternoon at the Queens Sports Complex. The Royals defensive unit and goalkeeper Hannah Dike-Lawlor stood tall against a relentless Dolphins attack, securing their fourth shutout of the season.

Turning Point
In a match largely defined by midfield battles and defensive resilience, Queens weathered early pressure from Jacksonville, who outshot the Royals 20–6. Dike-Lawlor made several key stops, including a diving save in the 89th minute to preserve the clean sheet. The Royals best chance came in the 65th minute when freshman Grace Acevedo's low strike forced a save from Jacksonville's keeper.

From Coach Neely Noel
"I am incredibly proud of the team's performance today. Battling against such a prolific goal-scoring team and earning a shutout is a great accomplishment," said head coach Shannon Neely Noel. "The result secured our spot in the ASUN Tournament, which has been a goal for the team all season. I am thrilled this group gets the chance to compete together again."
